One Direction released their newest album FOUR and I can honestly say as a Directioner, (a major One Direction fan) that I was very disappointed in the album as a whole. The songs individually are catchy, but they don't flow as an album. The album has a new vibe for the boys, which is a lot more 'fun' and 'upbeat' compared to the original love-felt 'only girl in the world' vibe. Here I will give the breakdown on how the tracks:

1. Steal My Girl: The instruments to the song was very uplifting and it got you in the mood for a good time. This song reflect the same cheesy lyrics 'Her mum calls me love, her dad calls me son.' This is the sound of One Direction that is known and loved by millions of teenage girls around the world. It will make the young girls who are listening to this song have that warm fuzzy feeling of the boys singing this song to them. This song is definitely one of my favourite songs on the album as it has kept the same sound I am used to from the band.
2. Ready to Run: When this song first came on my initial reaction was "Why is story of my life playing?"The melody of the verses songs very familiar, it is a very soft version of Wake Me Up by Avicii. The chorus didn't match the verse as it was much faster and more party, instead of the love-felt melody it was originally. This shocked me as i was enjoying slow rhythm and the sudden change made me dislike the song slightly.
3. Where Do Broken Hearts Go? Where Do Broken Hearts Go is my favourite song on the new album. Yet again, it sounds like the original association with One Direction, which is the cheesy love lyrics. This song reminds me of Back For You on the bands second album Take Me Home. It is another one to all those who has loved and lost somebody and realised that they generally do love that person. It is a very predictable sound for the boys, each album has a very sad love song and this is the one for the album.
4. 18 Yet again another love song from the boys. This is the third love song in a row and there are only so many ways you can tell somebody that you love them before it gets very repetitive and boring. Sadly, this is what that song sounds like to me. A very used and repetitive love song that I've heard multiple times from multiple artists. The only difference between this love song, and multiple love songs written by the boys is that they mention an age, which conveniently is 18, like the title suggests.
5. Girl Almighty Finally an upbeat song from the boys after three consecutive songs to remind the average single person that they are not in a relationship. However, although this song is also about love,it is a lot more fun and more of a 'boogie' song. Although, some of the lyrics in this song does not make much sense. "She floats through the room on a big balloon." Even though the lyrics do not make as much sense as I would like them to, it is very good song just to have a sing along to.
6. Fool's Gold Yet again, another love song. Just as I thought that the beat, and mood of the album was about to change, I got deceived. As the song progressed it became more like any Take That song you could think of. I gave up on this song half way through as the lyrics just repeated those in the previous songs.
7. Night Changes Now this is the kind of tolerable love song on the album. The lyrics create a picture of a young girl getting ready to go out on a date with the boy she believes to love. The lyrics also shows us that we all make mistakes, and it is fine that you forgive those who hurt you because you love them. This song will makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and remember all the good times you have shared with others. 8. No Control This vibe is a lot more rock than the previous songs. From the beginning you feel to nod along as the guitar in the background has a edgy vibe towards it. The chorus is also very rock as it is a almost shouting/ singing chorus just like Mr Brightside by The Killers. This is much better than the previous love songs as it uplifts the mood. 9. Fireproof Another love song pops up from the boys. Yet again there isn't much I can say on the love song manor without repeating myself in the previous songs. Shall we move on. 10. Spaces The only thing I enjoy about this love song is that Niall opens the song. As for the rest of it... please view any other love song I've discussed.
11. Stockholm Syndrome Even though this is another song about love, it is a very good love song purely based on their rock vibe to it. The lyrics are sung very slowly, however this adds to the song and makes it fantastic.
12. Clouds Ah, they've finally written a song about them being better than the person who broke up with them. This is another one of my favourite songs on the album. this song shows me that they're not all about dwelling on the past, and move on with your life.
13. Change Your ticket This is cute. It's a very cute song. Having a song about being with someone you love and they have to leave you is quite emotional and this is generally a good love song as it will hit to home as it can relate to anybody who means something to you.
14. Illusion Again, it seems as if the boys were trying to play with their love song sound so it doesn't sound like they have just reused one of their own old melodies and tried to hide it from their fans.
15. Once In A Lifetime Another love song. You know my views on this already, there is no need to express them any further.
16. Act My Age This is the fun the new album has been missing. This is much like the original sound that is One Direction. It is fun and you can have a dance to it with your friends as the night goes on. This should be a single for the band as it is very catchy.
